Below is all of the information that you need to know for this summer update:

Message from Mr. Sherman

(1) It has been a few weeks since I have written and as the first questions about when SJS starts in the fall are starting to arrive, it seems like a good time to check in.  The first three days of Am Yisrael SJS for the 2015-2016 year are as follows: Wed., Sept. 9th, Wed., Sept. 16th and Sun., Sept. 20th.  We will not be holding SJS on Sun., Sept. 13th since we have Rosh Hashanah services that same night.  The SJS calendar for the year will be mailed, emailed and placed on our website very soon.

(2) I will be sending out a separate email from Cantor Simon to the Pardes (9th-10th Grade) class.

(3) On Friday, August 7th, we will be having a special student-led service and would love to have many students to help lead this service, of all ages.  It will be a ruach filled evening, taking place from 6:30 p.m.-7:10 p.m.

(4) Shabbat Under the Stars is taking place Fri. Aug. 14 at 6:00 p.m. at Gillson Park.  Please bring your own dairy/vegetarian dinner and a dessert to share.

(5) We are having Intergenerational Torah reading on Shabbat morning, Aug. 22nd.  Please email me if you would like me to send one verse to each/some member(s) of your family.

(6) There are other events and a couple new videos, including: Family Promise, the Women’s League of Am Yisrael Potluck Dinner, Tisha B’Av services, our Rabbi’s leadership in the Rabbinical Assembly and the Art Chug video.  This can all be found on our synagogue website.
