Hi, I’m Charlie Sherman. I’m the School Director at Am Yisrael Conservative Congregation. I have been educating and trying to inspire students to learn about their Jewish heritage for my entire career. My goal is to give children a positive experience with the Torah, Jewish holidays and prayer that will help create lifelong positive associations to the Jewish religion. This journey has taken me from Minneapolis, Minnesota where I was born and raised, to New York City, where I went to college, graduate school and spent the first 10 years of my career. I have also had the honor and privilege of leading Jewish Studies programming in Milwaukee and now in the Chicagoland area.
