Tikkun Olam

Please consider supporting one of Sarah Solotoroff’s Bat Mitzvah mitzvah projectsthis Purim season, benefiting both children and pets in need

Collection bins will be available for both drives.

Tzedakah

This year, our SJS & AMUSY community is giving Tzedakah to Rimon Farms in memory of Capt. Yogev Pazy, a fallen soldier who gave his life on October 7, 2023. His story is a powerful reminder of courage, service, and the responsibility we share to support one another. You can read more in  this Jerusalem Post article.

As of 3/15/26 SJS has collected $1,056.57, and we are grateful for every contribution that helps honor his memory and strengthen our connection to Israel.

Jewish Educators Assembly Conference in Philadelphia

This past week I attended the 74th Annual Jewish Educators Assembly conference in Philadelphia. I am filled with gratitude for the Jewish Educators Assembly and the tremendous professional development I’ve received from them over the years. It’s a gift to learn from colleagues, teach alongside them, and then learn even more in return.

A heartfelt thank you to our congregation for investing in my continued growth as a Jewish educator.

Sharing Simchas and Supporting One Another

We in the Am Yisrael family are united in joy as well as sorrow.  Please let us know if you wish to share a simcha (such as a birth, wedding, or other joyous occasion) or if you would like the community to be mindful of a family experiencing a challenging time (such as an illness or loss).  We are here to support one another.

Am Yisrael Chai!  Thank you for your partnership!
