Shalom Am Yisrael Community,
We are thrilled to celebrate Purim with you at our festive Megillah Reading tonight at 6:45 PM! This year’s Purim theme is 1970s and 1980s, and we can’t wait to see your amazing retro costumes and joyful spirit.
As always, we will be fulfilling the mitzvah of Matanot L’Evyonim, giving to those in need. In addition to hearing the full Megillah chanted this evening, we invite you to participate in three meaningful mitzvah opportunities:
Support the Northfield Food Pantry: Our friends at the Pantry have asked us to help collect Kosher for Passover items in preparation for the upcoming holiday. Please bring at least one Kosher for Passover item to the synagogue between now and March 22.
You may also fulfill Matanot L’Evyonim by bringing any non‑perishable item, even if it is not for Pesach.
Support Sarah Solotoroff’s Bat Mitzvah Project: Sarah is collecting new or gently used stuffed animals (no rips or stains, please). She is also gathering items for dogs and cats, including pet food, gently used or new bedding, toys, cleaning supplies, towels, and blankets.
Donations are welcome this evening at Megillah Reading or anytime through her May 30 Bat Mitzvah.
Purchase a Mishloach Manot Package: We have a limited number of leftover Mishloach Manot packages available for purchase this evening. If you would like to buy one, please see Judy Berkeley.
We look forward to celebrating Purim with you retro style and sharing a night filled with joy, community, and mitzvot.
