Shalom Kitah Vav Families:
These past few weeks have been exciting ones for the Vav class. We had an opportunity to bake challah with Dr. Sender, we learned about Passover and Shavuot through videos, games, and fun readings, we experienced a chocolate seder, and then this past Wednesday we had a fun Siyum, complete with customized Starbucks drinks, to wrap up our last Wednesday together for the year.
Throughout this year, this group of girls has really grown as leaders and also bonded as a class. It has been a privilege for me to grow alongside them and I can’t wait to see all that they continue to accomplish in the future. Each girl’s B Mitzvah date has been written in the corner of our white board the entire year and as those dates draw nearer and nearer I am fully confident that each of them are ready to show everybody what they can do. Thank you for sharing your children with me this past year, it has truly been my pleasure to watch them grow as young Jewish leaders.
B’Shalom,

Shalom Kitah Vav Families:
These past few weeks have been exciting ones for the Vav class. At the end of January we went away to ShabbabaFest where 4 members of the Vav class were able to spend an incredible 30 hours together over Shabbat. The trip took place at Camp Nageela in Ingleside and to say it was incredible is an understatement. We were able to laugh together, joke together, pray together, bond in meaningful ways, celebrate a community Shabbat and havdalah, and finally have a rip-roaring great time at an evening Wheel of Wisdom trivia game. The experience brought members of the class and staff closer together than ever before.
Since that time, we have been able to capitalize on that momentum with continued learning fun in the classroom. Despite the snowstorm we were able to do a digital Israel escape room, we continued conversations on what is going on in Israel and continue to sing and pray together for the release of the hostages.
Back in person last week, we were able to get ready for Purim as well as talk more about Israel and continue to pray together. We are looking forward to March when Dr. Sender is going to come in and teach us how to make Challah as well as the incredible Purim Carnival. It has been an amazing year so far and we are looking forward to our next three months together as we prepare for this class to become B’not Mitzvah.
B’Shalom,
Marc
